Matthew Perry, Ph.D., was called to be the Lead Pastor at Arapahoe Road Baptist Church (ARBC) in 2011. He has served in gospel ministry since 1992 and was ordained at First Baptist Church, Clewiston, Florida, in 1998. He has served in children’s youth, and music ministry prior to beginning ministry work as lead pastor in 2001.
During his childhood years, he lived in Virginia (twice), Michigan, and graduated from high school in Lecanto Florida. Providentially, God led him to Palm Beach Atlantic University where he graduated with a B.S. in Church Music. He also graduated with a Master of Church Music (1997), Master of Divinity in Christian Ministry (2003) and a Doctor of Ministry (2009) from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary before obtaining his Doctor of Philosophy degree in 2020 from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, MO.
Pastor Matt has a heart for missions and discipleship. He has led teams to Trinidad and Tobago 14 times, helping with leadership retreats, crusades, and discipleship matters. He has also gone on mission trips to Hungary and the small town of Sugar City located in southeastern Colorado.
Pastor Matt is married to Cindy and have four children. Aside from spending time with family, Pastor Matt enjoys playing the piano, writing, and is an avid sports fan. He roots for the Denver Nuggets (NBA), Cincinnati Reds and Colorado Rockies (MLB), Cincinnati Bengals (NFL), Colorado Rapids (MLS), and Everton FC (EPL).
