AWANA Grand Prix Race Day and Chili Cook-Off
Everyone loves a good race, no matter the outcome, watching two or more people compete to be better than the others is always something that grips our attention and whips up our imaginations.
Every year, our AWANA club hosts a Pinewood Derby style “Grand Prix” where our clubbers compete to prove that their car is the fastest car around. You know what they need most? A cheering crowd.
Our clubbers love those pinewood derby cars, but they mean even more when a there is a big group of people there that is equally excited to cheer them on, and show them they are loved and valued. I would encourage anyone who could spend a little time on Saturday, February 2 relaxing and watching kids race to stop in and enjoy our Grand Prix with us.
To sweeten the deal a little, we also host a Chili Cook-Off for any willing adults who join us. Just make sure your chili is ready and at the church by 11:30am on race day (February 2).
