Announcing the visit of Gene Washburne

The Minister of Students/Education Ad Hoc Pastoral Search Team, in accordance with the By-Laws, announces the visit of Gene Washburne, as a prospective candidate. Gene and his wife, Candy, will be visiting between April 14 and April 17. An itinerary will be provided later. All the information about Gene is available as you leave the sanctuary April 3 following the morning service.

Congratulations to Milton Johnson on 17 years of faithful service to ARBC. Milton celebrated his 17th anniversary as ARBC’s custodian on April 17.

BEHIND THE SCENES

Every Sunday we have marvelous help “behind the scenes” of our worship services. These men and women spend hours with the musicians in rehearsal both on Wednesday nights and early Sunday mornings. Their expertise and alertness can be a blessing. The lack of it can be a real distraction to worship. Fortunately, we have qualified people who also have sweet cooperative spirits! Thank you Fred Starks for heading up this special team of people that include Fred, Mike Beatty, Marvin Hutton, and Wil Powell. This month we welcome Kim Corzine, Nick Martens and Craig Howell to this team. This team is kind of like “faith”-the “evidence of things not seen”. Thank you for your commitment and good work.

A View from the Fields, April 2005

One Parson’s Opinion

One of our church members said two words that were very nice to hear last week. He said thank you! I never get tired of hearing thank you’s. I suppose you do not tire of them either.

Let me send some thank you’s.

To the WMM - thank you for the nice ladies brunch you provided. I understand it was a joy. (No, I wasn’t invited! But yes, I am over it! Ha!)

Thank you Fellowship Team for the Winter Banquet. (I was invited to this event!) It was enjoyed by all.

To the Youth leaders and Youth- thank you. The Spaghetti Supper and Silent Auction were both enjoyable. It raised quite a bit of money for the youth mission trip this summer. The total was $2,141.00. (Yes, I was invited to this event!)

To many of you - who gave to help defray Ben’s medical expenses and my medical expenses, a very heartfelt - thank you. You need to know that the church at the business meeting in March voted to increase our medical coverage. ARBC, thank you very much!
