Serving God: Discovering and Using Your Spiritual Gifts

Sept 12 - Oct 31
Discovering and developing our spiritual gifts is a priority for every Christian! This 8-week class is designed to motivate you to serve God discovering your spiritual gifts and using them to build up the church. A workbook is available in the church office for $7.00. We will be using the workbook as a personal guide throughout our class sessions. If you have any questions about the class, please feel free to contact Jay or Dianne Moyers at 303.771.5763.

Operation Christmas Child

Starting October 3, ARBC will begin collecting shoeboxes filled with items for children in war torn countries. You can pick up an informational brochure in the office.

Annual Business Meeting

According to ARBC's Constitution, the annual meeting is to be held in September. At the annual meeting, two new Board of Director members, a moderator and vice moderator, and church treasurer will be elected. Also, the normal monthly business will be handled.

2005 Budget Requests Due

Budget requests are due in the financial office by Wednesday, September 8. The Stewardship Team will work on these during September and then coordinate with the Church Council during October. Copies will be made available October 31. Budget will be discussed Nov. 7 pm and voted Nov. 14 am.

Church Pianist

Continue to pray for our church as we search for a pianist. We have greatly appreciated Grace Lin playing during the month of August. She has been a joy! Grace will be returning to Boston University soon.

During the month of September, Diane Weston will be playing for our worship services. Diane has been the pianist for the Colorado Singing Men. She and her family live in Parker.

A View from the Fields, Sept 2004

Have you ever flipped open your Bible and started reading and have God speak to you in a powerful way? Most of the time when I just flip open the Bible it says something like, “slay the Philistines”! (Ha!) Therefore, most of the time it’s best to have a systematic reading plan when it comes to reading the Bible and not a hit or miss approach. But, recently, I flipped open the Word of God and started reading. The passage was Psalm 123:1,2

Ladies Bible Study

Beth Moore's Believing God will be offered on Monday evenings at 7:00pm and on Tuesday mornings at 9:30am. The Monday evening classes will begin September 13th and run through November 15th and will be led by Dee Dunn at her home. The Tuesday morning classes will begin September 14th and run through November 16 and will be led by Barbara Mims in the church's fellowship hall. Childcare will be provided on Tuesday mornings if needed. Books are available in the church office for $15.00. Please see Dee Dunn, Barbara Mims, or Karen Ammon if you have any questions.
