Student Ministry – February 2006
02.17.2006

Welcome to February!
I have always liked this month because it sounds different than its spelled. It has that silent “R” which gives it an aura of mystery and danger. It’s risky. Also, it’s a lot shorter than other months but it seems to get the same amount of work done which makes it by far the most efficient of all the twelve or thirteen months. Not only that but February is the month that Candy and I began dating, so it’s only fitting that February would be a great month for the youth ministry of ARBC.

We have two big events toward the end of February. The first is Ski Fest on the 20th which is an event where a lot of youth groups from all over the region go to Winter Park for a day of skiing. The second big event is Disciple Now, which is a weekend-long Bible intensive program for youth. This will happen on the 24th-26th. As if all that weren’t enough for a month with only 28 days, we are also going to have a Super Bowl Party and a Friday Night Alive. Now I know what you’re saying, there can’t be any oxygen at this height, and while it may certainly seem like that, to do any less just wouldn’t do justice to a month the caliber of February.
