Asian American Ministry Prayer Requests and Report
1) Praise God for a very fruitful home Bible study and prayer meeting at Pastor Paul Lin’s home in Greenwood Village every Friday night 7-9 PM. Please continue to pray for our outreach to the Asian Pacific American community in Denver Metro and good growth in Christ.
2) Praise God for good spiritual growth in our Sunday school class. Please continue to pray for the expansion of this class and the following members: Paul Lin (teacher), Lily Lin (director), Yukie Tomooka, Harumi Tomooka, Dora Sorongon Tiu, Cara Tiu, Carl Tiu, Darren Englen, Del Englen, and Sun Hee Do. This class meets every Sunday 9:30 – 10:15 AM in the church lower level Prayer Room.
3) Thanks God for bringing new people to visit our church very Sunday morning for the past several weeks. They are: Sun Hee Do, a Korean young lady who visited our church on Sept. 11th and has been attending the Sunday school and worship service regularly; Sue, Yukie and Jane Tomooka’s younger sister, visited our church on Sept. 18th; Kyra and Brad with their three boys who visited our church on Sept. 25th. Kyra is a Korean American, Brad is an Anglo American.
4) Please pray for the following prospects:
a) Mikako, a Japanese American woman, who participated in our fellowship meal gathering on August 20th and received encouragement and gospel message from Pastor Perkins;
b) Hyung Yim, a Korean American young man, who saw our church website and attended the Sunday morning worship on August 21st;
c) Narie Kim, a Korean American young lady who used to attend our church youth group and is now working in Denver.
5) We are planning to have a Saturday field trip to visit Focus on the Family Ministry and Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs in October. This will be an outreach event to invite non-Christian friends from the Asian Pacific American community to build relationships with our ministry. Please pray for the participants of this event.
6) Grace Lin returned to Boston University on August 31st. Her graduation date is May 14, 2006. Please pray for her final year at BU for a good finish to glorify God.
7) Pray for Oscar Tiu’s, MD, for a smooth application process for his U.S. permanent resident status and his upcoming hospital residency/fellowship opportunities in Denver this coming November.
8) Please continue to pray for Dora Tiu’s, MD, medical training here in Denver and her receiving the certification to practice medicine in the U.S. as a respiratory specialist. (Dora already finished her training and is now preparing for job interviews).
9) Please pray for Tim Lin’s study and internship at the University of Arizona in Tucson. He’s a junior at UA and heavily involved in the Navigators’ campus ministry there.
