Mission to Biloxi - 09.27.05
09.28.2005

The campus at Bay Vista Baptist Church has become the hub of Biloxi, MS for disaster relief, truly an instrument for spreading God’s Grace. People from all over the city are coming to Bay Vista for food, water and supplies – they also receive kindness, love and hope. There have been over 60 professions of faith on and off the campus.

Chain (as in chain saw) Gang

The ARBC team is clearing the yard of fallen trees and debris for a dear old Biloxi resident. She is probably over 80 years old and full of life.

There are well over 75 volunteers from all over the country working at Bay Vista Baptist Church this week. Our team is safe, eating well (Tyson brought in a trailer full of frozen chickens) and staying in a Dance Studio near the church.

Ask & it will be given

To date, there has been 88 semi-trailers & over 100 smaller trailers and trucks brining in food, water, supplies, clothing, etc. Any time there has been a shortage in supplies (such as diapers or formula), another truck arrives on the campus with the needed supplies. Our team was there when semi-trailer arrived from somewhere in the mid-west. The driver donated his truck and time to deliver supplies donated by his home town. When the Loading Crew opened the trailer doors, they saw a large sign in the trailer that read – Biloxi, We’ve got your back.
