Summer Worship Choir

Join the choir this summer? Yes, this is actually a good time to join the worship choir. The music is generally a little bit easier, the rehersals are a little bit shorter, AND… your presence is needed as we have numerous choir members gone each Sunday on vacations. We meet Wednesdays at 7:05. If you can match a pitch, then join us!

Technical Support

Each Sunday we have a great technical support team that helps with sound, lighting, and media. What you may not know is that these people also rehearse with us on Wednesday nights, show up real early on Sunday mornings and keep our equipment in good working condition. Many thanks to these “behind the scenes” people: Fred Starks, chairman; Mike Beatty; Marvin Hutton; Wayne Dooley; Wil & Melissa Powell; and Rob Ammon.

Children’s Sermon

Promotion Day is June 6. This is the date that the PreKin and Kin. Sunday School classes (age 4 and over) will begin attending worship services. Most Sundays we will include a children’s sermon somewhere in the worship time. This will be a time that the boys and girls will come to the front steps and have a special Bible application lesson with one of the ministers.

Orchestra

Thank You to those who joined our orchestra last month. We will always have a fluid group depending on who is in town on the scheduled Sunday. The orchestra will practice on Wednesday night June 16 from 8:15-9:00pm and will play on Father’s Day morning, June 20. Can you play an instrument? Call the church office and I will mail you some music!

VBS Music

The Vacation Bible School children will have a music time each day. They will be singing two of their VBS songs during the morning worship service on June 27.
