FEATURED SPEAKERS:

Tal Davis is an Interfaith Evangelism Associate of the North American Mission Board in Atlanta, GA, and has been there since 1988. His duties include assisting Southern Baptist believers, churches, associations, state conventions and denominational agencies to understand and bear an effective witness to members of sectarian groups and new religious movements. Tal has been a contributing writer for several books and publications such as Home Life magazine and LifeWay dated materials as well as numerous pamphlets for Interfaith Evangelism of the North American Mission Board.

Jim Sibley sensed God's call at the age of eleven at Dallas' First Baptist Church. He and his wife, Kathy, were appointed by the International Mission Boars as missionaries to Israel in 1982 and served there almost fourteen years. Since 1986, when Sibley's resolution on Jewish evangelism was approved by the Southern Baptist Convention, he has served as the National Coordinator of Jewish Ministries for the North American Mission Board. He has taught adjunctively at almost all of our Southern Baptist seminaries and held positions on both national and international agencies and organizations devoted to Jewish evangelism.

WORKSHOPS:

Jihad! The Challenge of Islam in the 21st Century
This workshop will present and analyze the history of the world faith of Islam. The study will trace its goals, activities and growth in North America. It will also discuss practical methods and strategies for effective evangelizing Muslims.

Jewish Evangelism: Reaching The Remnant
Every Christian should be able to share his/her faith from the Old Testament. Should we begin with Messianic prophecy, or is there a better way? How should we deal with opposition? Who makes the best witness to the Jewish people -- a gentile believer or a Jewish believer? You'll be surprised!

The workshops will fulfill the requirements for certification as an Interfaith Evangelism Bronze Partner in Islam or Judaism. Additional requirements for Gold Partnership will be discussed.
