• ARBC was organized in May 1960, and has had six pastors across the past 40 years.
• Our current resident membership is about 600.
• Our Sunday School is divided into 16 departments, providing sound teaching for all age groups.
• Our Extended Session cares for pre-schoolers through age 3 during all worship services.
• The Music Ministry features many opportunities for all ages to serve through worship.
• We have a strong Youth Ministry with excellent adult leadership which provides both spiritual and social activities for teenagers.
• Our Media Center/Library has over 7,800 items including books, visual aid equipment and teaching aids.
• We have a moderately priced Wednesday night supper that provides a great time for fellowship and relaxation.
• We are a mission-minded church. Each year we give more than 15% of our total receipts to missionary causes.
• We are a cooperating member of the Denver Baptist Association, the Colorado Baptist General Convention, and Southern Baptist Convention.

A brief history

Early in 1960, Calvary Baptist of Englewood started a mission in the Cherry Hills section of Littleton, called the Cherry Hills Mission. In May 1960, they constituted into Cherry Hills Baptist Church and began meeting in the Grange Hall at University and Orchard Road while a building was constructed at 1675 Orchard Road. H. K. Stringer was called as the first full time pastor.

In 1963, the church sold its location on Orchard Road and started meeting in the Grange Hall again. Search for a new location began and culminated in finding acreage at the corner of Arapahoe Road and Washington.

On May 8, 1966, the building was dedicated and the name was changed to Arapahoe Road Baptist Church.

The church added an educational wing in 1972.

Several missions have been started from ARBC. These include: Castle Rock; Brentwood Center; South Valley; FBC, Highlands Ranch - later known as Cornerstone in Highlands Ranch.

The church will celebrate 45 years of God's faithfulness in 2005.
